january meeting news
First meeting back from the Christmas holiday, and started things off with the AGM.
Membership fees. Unfortunately due to the rent of the room going up we have had to push the increase onto the membership fees, this means the fee is now £20/year . These should of been paid on the night, however, if you havent’ attended, or forgot your cash, an email will be sent out with details on how to pay digitally.
Website updates. We are still looking for membership galleries for updates. You can now add up to 9 images in your own area. If you wish to resend and update all the images, or just top up to the 9, please email them to Graham so we can add them in.
Images of note. The committee this year have all picked images of note. These are images that may not of had a placement, but were outstanding in their own right. these were as follows…
Presentation
The evenings presentation was on Exposure Tips mainly focusing on exposure in poor lighing situations.
Slides were given on the several tips, and encouraged members to move on to their auto settings. Trying this out would be very beneficial to all members to improving their techniques.

The ‘Monthly Competition’ entitled ‘Long Exposure’ was held.
The winners were:-
- 1st - 'Cara de Fuego' by Garry Jones
- 2nd - 'High Flow' - by Phil Simmons
- 3rd - 'A Swirl and a Whirl' by Pete Anslow
The ‘Quareterly Competition’ entitled ‘Autumn’ was held.
The winners were:-
- 1st - 'Reflective Moment' by Judy Moore
- 2nd - 'Leaf Me Alone' - by Julie Beddow
- 3rd - 'Anyone for a Swim' by Pete Anslow
