november meeting news
Last meeting for the year and end of the season for 2023. There was a small number of members, but it was great to see those who attended for the completion of the year. Although a relatively short meeting, we are still asking for ideas and requests for next years programme.
Presentation
The focus point for the evening was Interesting Projects for the Xmas holiday.
We tried not to make this the list of ‘usual suspects’ for home projects that we’ve discussed in length in previous meetings, but make it as interesting as possible. Please take a look at the download and try some of these out. All should help to improve your photography and have a bit of fun at the same time.
Members receive a copy of the presentation in the club newsletter.
Competitions
The ‘Monthly Competition’ entitled ‘After Dark’ was held.
The winners were:-
- 1st - 'A Quiet Alleyway' by Joan Banks
- 2nd - 'Plaza 2' - by Val Sturman
- 3rd - 'Gas Street' by John Horton
The Lancaster Memorial Competition’ entitled ‘Black and White’ was held.
The winners were:-
- 1st - 'Unused for Some Time' by Ian Reese
- 2nd - 'Steam Punk' - by Garry Jones
- 3rd - 'Hear My Prayer' by Garry Jones
Next Meeting
Our next meeting we will be - 29th January 2024 - 19:30. We are still compiling the 2024 season programme, details to be published shortly. Keep a look out for the email.
