november meeting news
This evening’s main topic was ‘Sports Photography’.
An extensive topic that requires a knowledge of the sport being photographed incorporating the need to show movement within the activity. A slideshow was shown providing several aspects of the genre, including team and individual sporting activities.
The ‘Monthly Competition’ entitled ‘Broken Glass’ was held.
The winners were:-
- 1st - 'Bits & Pieces' by Linda Evans
- 2nd - 'No Need To Wash' by John Horton
- 3rd - 'Vandalism' by Joan Banks
Please note that entries (rectangular, up to 7 x 5 ins) for the Monthly competition can be made without mounts – when needed, mounts will be available at the start of the session.
The ‘Lancaster Memorial’ entitled ‘Joints’ was held.
The winners were:-
- 1st - 'Triple Jointed' by Joan Banks
- 2nd - 'Which Joint' by John Watkinson
- 3rd - 'L 6023' by John Horton
Please note that entries (rectangular, up to A4) for the Quarterly competition can be made without mounts.
